I was on the brink of total financial failure.
Somehow, I managed to keep up with my bills, but when I stared August in the eye, I said, “No way am I going to get through this month.”
The only good thing about my credit report is that after all these years, I’ve never had a late payment.
However, your debt-to-credit ratio is the second most crucial aspect of your credit report. And there, I’ve been a complete failure.
It started in 2017 when I lost my full-time corporate job. I had been living high on the hog; my weakness was clothing. Afterward, I did some gig jobs, but they didn’t support me. My partner at the time got me through it.
But by 2018, even he had had enough and dumped me. However, I give him much credit for helping me stay afloat during the period after the breakup.
