and get pleasure

endtimes feel
so romantic
when the world
is crumbling
and some grocery stores
have toxins while
other grocery stores
have micronutrients
two different
kinds of metals
neither of which
are gold
diamonds don’t taste
good and we
don’t have extra time
to care

in the fast warming seas
super food for my lust

while I try to
convince
myself to make
money first
before dating

this wary & weary planet
earth praying to
all the couples
vying to thrive
while single through
three consecutive
presidential terms
is plenty of time to scour
the grocery stores for
titanium dioxide and aspartame
silica sings to the
potassium bromate stars
as I wait to be found like maca
by my prince charming while
he’s on a quick dash to the
healthiest market
for nothing more
than a heavy bag
of wild rice.
