Why Every Fall Prepares You to Rise Stronger and Wiser
Finding strength and resilience in the story you tell yourself at the inflection point
I love late summer. The morning air is cooler, reminding me fall is approaching. In less than a week from now, the leaves will begin their transformation — green giving way to honey gold, copper, and maple brown. For now, I’ll enjoy this in-between, savoring the moment before change fully arrives.
Change? Yes, change.
Here in the southern United States, during fall, some days wrap you in heat while others are a foreshadowing of the winter to come. Fall is the season most like life itself. It embodies the abundance of harvest and nature’s release.
Life, too, demonstrates the same paradox — steady and shaky, predictable and unpredictable — all at once. One moment you’re upright, certain, moving through your routines. The next, you’re flat on the ground, stunned by an impact you never saw coming.
It might be the sudden loss of a job. It may be the breakup of a relationship you swore was unbreakable. Perhaps, it’s a diagnosis that changes how you see your body. And in some cases, it may be the gradual unraveling of a dream you poured years into.
