Why Samuel Jackson’s “After Dick Mint” Joke Matters, and It’s Probably Not What You Think.

Can we stop pretending that the time honored, good old fashioned blowjob joke or insult is somehow homophobic? What world are we living in that these lines have become so delusionally crossed and twisted?

In short actor Samuel Jackson recently posted this….

…and he was almost immediatley slammed for being homophobic. He was reported to Twitter for posting homophobic or anti-gay hate speech. Twitter investigated the post and disagreed that it was homophobic stating that it didn’t violate any of their policies.

If you’re confused as to just what group of people it is who could or should be be offended by this joke in this age of joke inappropriateness, it’s not the people who were the target of the joke.

Conservatives have been quite miffed by suggestions that President Trump sucks penis in the past.

Although conservatives have been quite miffed by suggestions that President Trump sucks penis in the past, a more politically correct Liberal social media crowd has suggested that using the act of sucking penis to denegrate the president as Jackson has jokingly done somehow displays or supports homophobia or hate speech towards gay men.

For me, I can’ believe we’ve entered a world where these things need to actually be explained to people or even addressed at all, but here we go.

Like a good majority of average Americans I’m actually too busy and worried about my own life and stuff to be worried about hating anyone else or trying to hold anyone else down.

I don’t hate gay men, or lesbian women, or heterosexuals, or anyone else that I’m aware of. I’m a pretty peaceful easygoing guy. I believe in and support equality for every human being, and like a good majority of average Americans I’m actually too busy and worried about my own life and stuff to be worried about hating anyone else or trying to hold anyone else down. I pretty much don’t care what anyone else does or says, so long as it’s not designed to hurt, or steal, or take advantage of others.

Yet I can still somehow appreciate and enjoy a good joke or sarcastic comment without being offended, or worse yet claiming racism, sexism, homophobia, hatred, or phobia of any kind.

Throughout the history of human kind a blowjob, to the one who recieves it is a gift. A great honor. A sign of love, respect, adoration, and attraction regardless of the orientation of the person giving it.

Please don’t misunderstand. I’m not saying I was born with any specific, discerning radar or technical features to better understand or know when somene is being sarcastic or making a joke, versus being motivated by hate or anger more so than any other person does, although I do have one superhuman ability which most all humans have some level of known as CS. Researchers have recently discovered that the level of CS or “Common Sense” one posesses can vary greatly from human to human, thus giving some understanding to this vast disparity in perception of the common blowjob joke. There’s also another derivative of the CS gene which scientists have indentified and suggest could be an effective remedy for this lapse of logic, and for people taking things so personally which they call TS, or “Thick Skin”. TS is something developed with maturity over time, and is known to help prevent and avert this type of confusion and accusatory behavior. For the sake of this writing we’ll focus more on Common Sense and save Thick Skin for exploring in depth in a later aticle.

Historically, traditionally, stereotypically, and statistcally it’s been proven that the vast majority of men performing felatio on other men are gay.

While historically, traditionally, stereotypically, and statistcally it’s been proven that the vast majority of men performing felatio on other men are gay, this can also give the false impression that dick sucking jokes are aimed squarely at gay men specifically in a derogatory way, which with a little understanding of blowjob jokes from heterosexuals, the various people who enjoy giving blowjobs, and a bit of oral history, can be de-mystified.

So without further adue, let’s blow this puppy apart. Pun intended.

  1. Sucking penis is in no way exclusive to gay men, so get over it. Women can and in fact give head or enjoy performing felatio on men also. In fact history may have it that they are the ones who started and perfected the whole damn thing, and the gay guys just copied them or appropriated it. Fact is this might not even be their turf at all.
  2. It’s not just heterosexual women who could have possibly been the target of Jackson’s deeply hidden ire or hatred towards those who enjoy giving felatio. No, it wasn’t just Jackson’s heterophobia or homophobia on full display, but what about bi-men and women? Sapiosexuals? And even a transgender person could also enjoy performing felatio on men as well. Who suddenly crowned gay men as the sole group to enjoy giving blowjobs or be possibly offended by this? Even the “After Dick Mints” packaging doesn’t specify or target who should use them.
  3. Ok, calm down. I understand that the individuals who were the subject of this particular blowjob joke were all men, thus the possible homoerotic connection.
  4. If I may try to speak for Mr Jackson, I beleive the idea here which he was suggesting is that the individuals working for Mr. Trump, all fictitiously performed felatio on him instead of doing there jobs. It’s along the lines of saying they were all there to please him and stroke his ego, to suggest that none of these men representing our nation will ever stand up to him, in the most over the top exaggerated way one could make this expression.
  5. Let’s be clear. Throughout the history of human kind a blowjob, to the one who recieves it is a gift. A great honor. A sign of love, respect, adoration, and attraction regardless of the orientation of the person giving it.

Interestingly what I didn’t hear Mr. Jackson say was anything at all about being gay or homosexual. Positive or negative. Meaning, who cares if the men blowing the president in this joke are gay or not. It doesn’t matter.

In some bizzarrely ironic way the logic at play here reminds me of the same presumptions at play when that televangalist suggested a tele-tubby was gay, I beleive because the tubby carried a purse.

Ok so maybe this particular GIF isn’t helping the teletubbies case.

If for some reason this wasn’t clearly a joke by Jackson, and he has inside information that these men did in fact suck the presidents penis while in office I would safely presume the men involved must be homosexual, but I still don’t see the part where Jackson said anything suggesting that them being homosexual was a bad thing.

Thank you Mr Jackson. Not for the attempt at a humorous political post using “After Dick Mints”, but for not backing down or giving in to the social media slack for making a fairly innocuous joke because some oversensitive people on the internet just couldn’t get it.
