RRobby Katter, your political agenda seeks to control women’s bodies and undermine hard-won rights. You stand on the foundation of a political dynasty, but your views are rooted in outdated ideals that have no place in the modern fight for equality and autonomy.

Let’s be clear: you do not represent the lived experience of adoption, forced adoption, or the generational trauma that continues to affect survivors. You’ve never faced the violation of having your agency stripped away, nor the heartache of systemic discrimination. Yet, here you are, attempting to impose your personal beliefs on Queenslanders, particularly on women’s healthcare choices.

Your Regressive Views Are Not Welcome

Abortion was decriminalized in Queensland because the people demanded it. Women and allies fought tirelessly to ensure reproductive healthcare was no longer a crime, securing a victory against years of misogynistic and religious control. This wasn’t a concession from those in power; it was a hard-earned achievement.

Now, you are trying to roll back that progress with your regressive stance, hiding behind “traditional values” to justify policies that dehumanize women and deny them basic human rights. These views are part of a system that treats women as less than equals, relegating them to a status of mere incubators rather than autonomous individuals.

As a man, a politician, and someone who benefits from a legacy of power, you are in no position to dictate what women in Queensland can and cannot do with their own bodies. You have not lived through the trauma of forced adoption, and you cannot claim to understand what it is like to fight against systemic oppression on a daily basis.

Forced Adoption Survivors Stand Against You

As survivors of forced adoption, we know all too well the consequences of having our agency taken away. The trauma of being denied control over our bodies and choices is not theoretical; it is a lived reality. You claim to stand for freedom, yet your policies seek to take that freedom away from women.

Your position, based on outdated beliefs, stands in direct opposition to the values of equality, justice, and autonomy that so many Queenslanders fought for. You seek to impose a narrow, misogynistic agenda, and we will not stand by while you try to erase our progress.

A Clear Message: Your Agenda Has No Place Here

We do not care about your family name or the political legacy you claim. Your views are not representative of the future we want for Queensland. Women, adoptees, and allies will not allow anyone to roll back the rights we’ve fought so hard to secure.

You are being called to account for your stance on reproductive freedom. This is your warning: If you continue to push policies that restrict women’s rights, you will face the united opposition of those who will not allow these freedoms to be stripped away.

We will not be silenced. We will continue to fight for the rights of women, adoptees, and all those whose voices you seek to dismiss.

Join Us in Defending Reproductive Freedom

We all deserve to feel safe and in control of our own lives. Reproductive freedom is a fundamental right, and we will continue to fight for the ability to choose when and if to become a parent.
