What’s an outside reader, and why do I need one (or preferably more)?

An outside reader is exactly that… a reader outside, of you; it’s an important distinction to make because everyone reads their creative writing, and everyone is equally incapable of reading it well enough. Everyone needs, or at least would benefit from, having a brain outside of their own take a look at their creative efforts to help them find ways to make what they’ve written into an even better final product.
