We got back from Porto early Thursday. One last time, shout out to Port… NO WAIT!

Congratulations to M&M.

Now, then. As you were…

On the return flight, I read The Happiest Kids in the World by Rina Mae Acosta and Michele Hutchison, two incredibly gifted writers who’ve crafted an easy and enjoyable (as well as terrifically well-informed) book on parenting.

The authors, both expats, reflect on the differences between English and Dutch parenting as they raise their children in the Netherlands.

They offer (along with copious research and first-hand interviews) their thoughts on why dutch children are ranked among the most intelligible, social, AND happiest in the world — full stop. Like, number one… if not very close.

Isn’t that insane?

Once I get good at this (/possibly never but I swear I’ll try) I’ll have something like CLICK HERE for my notes (which I DID take) so that I can say more than just HEY I READ BOOKS AND YOU SHOULD TOO.

I swear, that’s not the message. The message is this book was awesome. And until I get my crud together and outline it you’ll just have to pick up a copy for yourself.
