WHAT I SHOULD BE WRITING ABOUT

…it’s like an outline of all the other stuff I should be doing.

So as I mentioned prior, I want to write a fiction novel, reinvent the way we use social media, start a national volunteer / public-investment fund, become an economic adviser to a political campaign, partner with another financial author to become low-touch advisers on the internet (how you like them scale wait no that’s not it)…

… Write investment perspectives, philosophical rambling-on’s, learn french, fix american soccer, picket foreign games with signs saying #ArseneIn, get drafted by a professional team, become the Phil Mickelson of soccer (play only “lefty” as a natural “righty”), start my own camp, work with AJAX, Southampton, Dortmund, or other European programs to bridge the “skill” and/or “knowledge” “gap” between U.S. and foreign youth programs…

…Write the first ever stream-of-consciousness ADHD perspective (what James Joyce was trying to do…(how’s that for pompous?)), did I already say the satire thing (like National Lampoon)?

Yeah, so, getting these out should be fun.

So far the recurring themes in the very, VERY back of my mind (which only pop up when you have this much down time) seem to be:

  • I need more soccer in my life
  • I need to BE a role model in as much as I’ve BEEN a student all these years
  • I need a space to DO GOOD (charity, philanthropy… whatever you call it)

I know. All easier said than done.

For now, please allow me to pump these exemplary pieces:

  • What It’s Like to Have an ADHD Brain by Natalie Slivinski (link)
  • Today’s Problem with Masculinity Isn’t What You Think by Benjamin Sledge (link)
  • What Makes a Country Good at Football, from The Economist (link)
  • A Long-Term Perspective on the Gig Economy by Colin Crouch
