These days, I see on the streets, read in magazines, newspapers, online, I hear in conversations people not being gentle to each other — whether on purpose or unconsciousness. The comments people make could hurt others. Whether it is about racism, your appearance — fat or too thin, having freckles, playing an instrument, or name anything you have experienced.

Most of the time, we say it is a joke. For someone else, that sentence you said could not be a joke. We have to think about how we say something to others. It could hurt someone else, or it can have another meaning to someone else.

You can say: “Don’t be ridiculous, it was just a joke. Don’t take it personally.” What if this happening daily? Your mind will confuse you and trick you into thinking that what has been said is true. When what you hear often. When you have been bullied in high school, and your classmates tell you that you are fat. Even you are as thin as a coin, the comment of your friend — who tells you to do sports because it is fun to do. Then it could come in hard in your system.

Another comment I heard is that women always complain about anything and everything. Is it ok that you want to have a neat cupboard and have all the bowls neatly arranged from large to small because then the stack does not fall? Is it that bad to order the…
