Dear Thousanders and friends,

Our November series on “The Future of Peace” wrapped up this week. It was an incredible month of reflection — and, to be honest, reeling, as the world shifted yet again, in a way many of us find alarming and confusing.

We started by reflecting simply on the future of peace. The second part asked us to think about the benefits of war, and the third challenged us to question if our own confidence and arrogance is keeping us from growth. We finished by reflecting on our roles as young leaders going forward.

This month, we’re dealing with a topic particularly appropriate for this time of year, a topic many of us are currently or previously have been struggling with: Transitions. The end of the year marks a seasonal transition between this year and the next, full of endings and beginnings and endings.

The first prompt is simply on how we mark Transitions — what does it mean to be in one, and how do we know we are?

We’re looking forward to your thoughts for this month!

Best regards,

Gillian and Shihab
