The goal of this collection should be clear, but in case it’s not, a few words of introduction.

Whether Hawks said “good scenes” or “great scenes”—I found the quote written both ways—the idea is the same. A good movie is made of moments that stick with you. They work, and not just in a vague sense. We can talk about them, describe them, analyze them.

This collection is meant to be a storehouse for exactly that—a place where writers can single out the movies they love and the three or more moments that really make those movies. What you write about doesn't have to be iconic, per se, as long as you’re focusing on Hawks’ definition: a movie with at least three good scenes, no bad ones.
