Hello, music fans!

Last month I wrote a story about how my love of Journey sent me on a path of musical discovery and righteousness.

I had so much fun delving back into my musical coming of age, and realizing how much my musical roots led to me to discover the bands I’ve grown to know, love and champion.

It was so much fun that Imaginary Liz and I thought — why not launch it as our first-ever imaginary writing prompt?

So here we are. Our TIG writing prompt for March is “My Musical Journey.” We’re looking for musical memoir stories about how a certain artist or song or album made a profound impact on your life. We don’t care how uncool the artist is — I mean, I led with Barry Manilow and “Undercover Angel” and things don’t get much less cool than that. And I still proudly love them both with all my musical heart.

Please tag your stories with “Journey” so we can discover and share them. If you’re not yet a writer for Three Imaginary Girls and would like to be, please leave us a comment here and we’ll be sure to add you.

We can’t wait to read your stories!
