Hi Friend,

It’s the things that go unnoticed that define our lives. The careers and fashion falls away, and we’re left with these tiny stories that make us who we are. Each article this week looks at that idea of something small that makes us who we are. Sometimes these small things go unnoticed, other times they magnify to define our personalities entirely. But either way, it starts with something small.

So, here we go.

1. What Do 90-Somethings Regret the Most?

I loved the way this article — the summation of a few interviews with 90-somethings distills down the basic lessons its sometimes easy to overlook, all while giving unexpected perspective on aging, beauty, and where happiness occurs in our relationships.

2. Socially Awkward = Spiritually Finish

As someone who generally feels uncomfortable about asking people I don’t know for what I want this cartoon series (and accompanying article) hit home. Wanting a sample but not wanting to have to have conversation with the person handing out samples? Been there. Love how this comic captures these little moments, and the reasons why it seems to resonate with so many millennial Chinese.

3. Towards A Taxonomy of Men Online

I love a good categorization. Whether it’s Meyer’s Briggs or The Four Tendencies, categorization helps me make sense of the world. This hilarious taxonomy of men online (really, men in society today) is quite brilliant and hilarious. The Dad, The Son, The Uncle, The Nephew as typologies all have distinct behaviors an I have to say…they nailed it.
