Here is the first pictures of what Ferrari was has kept in their vault for the upcoming Paris Motor Show. This is what enthusiasts were expecting next from Maranello’s super car maker, a spider version of the 458 Speciale. Only a wealthy 499 hands can grab this prized possession, christened as the Ferrari 458 Speciale A. The ‘A’ stands for the Aperta, which means ‘open’ in Italian. Quite apt for this pure open-top experience. A must for all the collectors worldwide, this special edition is also crafted to celebrate the success of the various 458 models which bagged a number of motoring media awards and track winning trophies decorating the shelf of the Prancing Horse. The celebration is big and that is why the 458 Speciale A is also the most powerful spider in Ferrari’s history.

The 458 Speciale A is identical to the 458 Speciale mechanically. The 4.5-litre V8 develops 597bhp and 540Nm of torque and drives the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Compared to the ‘tamer’ 458 Spider, power is up by 35bhp. The car runs from a stand still to 100kmph in just 3.0 seconds. There is also Side Slip Angle Control (SSC), which promises a sporty driving experience in all conditions. The 458 Speciale A sports an aluminium retractable hard top which takes just 14 seconds to deploy and retract, only adding 50kg to the coupe’s kerb weight.

On the looks, the car will be exhibited in a yellow-shade with a Blu Nart and Bianco Avus central stripe. Standing on gorgeous looking five spoke 20-inch anthricite coloured Grigio Corsa alloy wheels, they come wrapped-in 245/35 front and 305/30 rear profile tyres. The interior gets a blue carbon fibre trim on the dashboard, door panels, and central tunnel. A set of newly designed Alcantara upholstered seats with contrasting stitch sums-up the changes in the interior. Pricing hasn’t been divulged as yet, though we can expect it to be the priciest 458 till date.
