Aston Martin is all set to revive the Logonda badge for a new four-door super saloon as part of the manufacturer’s bespoke product program. The new super saloon reportedly sits above the Rapide S in the British marque’s line-up. Aston Martin declined to release technical specifications but previous reports have suggested it will use a 6.0-litre V12 engine that develops nearly 600bhp. The interesting bit is that the vehicle will exclusively sell in the Middle East market in limited amounts. The official pricing is yet to be announced but, one does not just walk into a showroom and place a booking. The new super saloon will be offered for sale by invitation only.

Aston Martin has confirmed that the design of the super saloon is closely inspired by the original one sold during 1976–1990 and designed by William Towns. However, the new Lagonda will be based on the VH architecture that underpins the current line-up of the British manufacturer. The car will also boast of modern features and will use carbon-fibre in the body panels.

Aston Martin Design Director Marek Reichman said, “The debut of this luxury super saloon in the Middle East market will be an exciting moment not only for Aston Martin, but for discerning customers who are seeking the ultimate in luxury and personalization. The new model, like its exclusive siblings the One-77 and V12 Zagato, has been created as a piece of exceptional automotive art.”

Aston Martin tried to bring back the Lagonda badge earlier with a concept SUV in 2009. The SUV was reportedly powered by a V12 engine and based around the Mercedes-Benz GL platform. However, Aston Martin hasn’t given out further details about the concept SUV due to the hue and cry raised by Aston Martin fans.
