Within days of unveiling the 2015 Audi A7 and S7 Sportback, Audi today showcased the updated version of their powerful sibling, the RS 7. The 2015 RS 7 Sportback has updates similar to the new A7 and S7 Sportback, which feature newly-designed LED headlamps as a standard feature. Customers will also have the option of the ingenious Matrix LED headlights that debuted with Audi A8. The car features a single-frame grille with the black honeycomb net typical to Audi’s RS models. The edges of the trapezoidal grille design have been sharpened and the central front air inlet bears ‘quattro’ lettering. The grille comes in three shade options — matt aluminum, gloss black and carbon. The signature design cues of the Sportback models such as the long hood, slopping C pillar and sharp rear-end, have been carried over intact to the RS 7 Sportback. Audi has also introduced new paint shades with the new car: Floret Silver, Glacier White, Mythos Black and Sepang Blue.

The vehicle will be powered by the same 4.0-litre TFSI twin-turbo engine that is available in the current RS 7. The V8 engine develops 552bhp of power at 5700rpm and a mighty 700Nm of torque at 1750rpm, identical to the current model. The four-door sports saloon accelerates from 0–100kmph in 3.9 seconds while the optional dynamics packages allow top speeds of 280 and 305kmph. The eight-speed tiptronic automatic transmission directs the power to the quattro permanent all-wheel drive. An optional sport differential on the rear axle is also available on new RS 7 as an option. The new car is fitted with 20-inch forged alloy wheels as a standard feature, while a set of 21-inch cast aluminum wheels in three colours are also available. Audi has installed four internally-ventilated carbon-fibre ceramic discs to rein in the 552 horses that move this car.
