Land Rover range of vehicles is known for its go anywhere capability. The most accurate personification of this ability in the recent times would be the none other than Bear Grylls, the British adventurer. If you didn’t recognise the name, think about the presenter of the ‘Man vs. Wild’ television series on Discovery channel that tests the limit of man in strange situations. Both are known for their capability to excel in extreme conditions which is why the British brand, owned by Tata, roped Grylls as their global brand ambassador.

The well-known adventurer, having climbed Mount Everest and led expeditions from Antarctica to the Arctic, will start his association with the brand with the world premiere of new Discovery Sport slated to launch on September 2, 2014. Land Rover already released a teaser video featuring Grylls explaining the thrill of adventure and exploring, which also characterizes the upcoming Discovery Sport.

Commenting upon the collaboration with Land Rover, Bear Grylls said, “I’ve used Land Rover vehicles throughout my life, during my military career, on countless expeditions and then while filming. From deserts and jungles to the highest mountains; they always deliver a rugged reliability that you can always count on when the chips are down in hostile environments. Land Rover is all about adventure, and adventure has always been in my DNA. For the toughest challenges, a Land Rover is always my vehicle of choice, which is why I’m so proud to be associated with the brand.”

Grylls’ TV show Man Vs Wild and Born Survivor are one of the most watched programs in the world with an estimated audience of 1.2 billion. The adventurer also has over 1.16 million Twitter followers and more than 4.8 million likes on Facebook.
