Bentley launches Flying Spur V8 at Rs 3.1 crore
Luxury auto manufacturer Bentley has added to its India line-up with the new Flying Spur V8, launched at Rs 3.1 crore, ex-showroom Delhi. Unlike the flagship Flying Spur that comes with the vaunted W12 motor, as the name suggests, this version gets a V8 4.0-litre motor enhanced by two parallel twin-scroll turbochargers that develops 500bhp at 6000rpm and 660Nm of torque at 1750rpm.
The V8 motor is mated to a ZF-sourced eight-speed automatic transmission delivering power to all-four wheels that enables this 2.4-ton luxury saloon to hit 100kmph in 5.2 seconds and on to a claimed top speed of 295kmph.
The third luxury saloon in Bentley’s India line-up is, in a word, opulent. The interiors are finished in wood and leather with a list of multiple colour options. The equipment list is long and includes a multi-zone climate control system, optional picnic tables and bottle coolers, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment interface, an 8-speaker music system with an 1100W Naim option, Bluetooth (including a privacy handset), 64GB rear-seat entertainment hard drive, and RSE (MultiMedia Spec) which includes a Wi-Fi router and Connectivity Unit with 64GB.
There are more than six airbags to cushion passengers during major accidents and EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), ABS, and a dual mode ESP (Electronic Stability program) aid in avoiding serious accidents.
Bookings can be made at the Exclusive Motors outlet in Delhi.
