The BFI sponsored National Safety ride, the longest safety ride in the country covering over 8000km, will end on October 4 at the Buddh International circuit where the Bike Festival of India (BFI) will kick off. On the 4th and 5th, BFI has brought the biggest sports league for sportbike freestyle in the whole world, the XDL Championship Series 2014, to India for the first time. Originating in the U.S.A., the championship is at the pinnacle of motorcycle stunt riding in the world, and the only professional series of its kind with riders like Jesse Toller, Chris Tice and Aaron Twite participating.

The Bike Festival of India will host the XDL Championship, whose winner will enter the FIM/XDL World championship next year. The Federation Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) is the global governing body of motorcycle racing. It represents 111 national motorcycle federations that are divided into six regional continental unions.

Plenty of international stunters will make an appearance but the headlining celebrity is Mahendra Singh Dhoni, whose superbike collection is the envy of many around the world. The crown jewel of his 31 motorcycle collection is his Confederate Hellcat X132, the only model owned by an Asian. Apart from Dhoni, other celebrities to own the Hellcat are Tom Cruise, Bradd Pitt, and David Beckham. During the BFI, Dhoni’s HELLCAT will be put on display.
