Celebrating the anniversary of a car with a new body kit, decals or ‘special edition’ badge is a popular trick in the Indian automobile industry. Honda celebrated the 1st birthday of the Amaze a couple of months back and the latest to jump on the bandwagon is Chevrolet, offering an anniversary edition of its Enjoy MPV.

A purely cosmetic upgrade, the anniversary edition boasts lashes of chrome for the headlamps, tail lamps, door handles and rear number plate garnish. Apart from this, the side decals and roof rails will be different on the anniversary edition compared to the standard model. The interior has been spiced up with wood trim and the limited edition will come with the option of seven or eight seats.

“Chevrolet Enjoy has completed a very successful year of enjoyment on Indian roads. It has given our customers a spacious, multi-purpose vehicle and a luxurious drive that is enables them to enjoy life with their families and friends. Since its launch in May 2013, the Enjoy has sold close to 20,000 units. It has taken on the toughest competition in the newly created MPV-B segment,” said Arvind Saxena, president and managing director, General Motors India.

The Chevrolet Enjoy will continue being sold with the 1.4-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel motor. Though Chevrolet India is yet to announce the price for the limited edition, we expect a slight premium over the standard top-spec Enjoy, which is priced at Rs 7.5 lakh for the petrol and Rs 8.6 lakh for the diesel.
