Final leg of the BFI-National Safety Ride begins
Having covered over 2600km, the National Safety Ride that had commenced on August 31, will begin the final 5500km leg covering over 20 cities. The BFI-National Safety Ride is the longest ever safety ride in country and is an initiative of the Bike Festival of India (BFI), and is being organized in association with Rhiti Sports Management and Event Capital. The riders have already covered cities such as Delhi, Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vapi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Ooty, Kochi,Chennai, Rajamudry, Behrampur and Bhadrak, visiting iconic locations, interacting with visitors and riders to convey the message of safe riding.
The final leg begun on September 21 in Kolkata, and will proceed towards Dhanbad, Varanasi, Kanpur, Noida, Chandigarh finally reaching Delhi on September 29 marking the end of the month long National Safety Ride. The riders on Triumph bikes (the official safety ride partners of BFI-National Safety Ride), stopped at various Triumph dealerships en route promoting their cause of safe riding by motivating people to wear the proper gear while riding like helmets, riding gloves, and jackets.
The end of the ride will lead to the main event, the Bike Festival of India, which is officially scheduled to take place on October 4 and 5 October at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC), in Greater Noida. Expressing his thoughts behind BFI, Arun Pandey, CMD, Rhiti Sports said, “Through BFI National Safety Ride, we will touch every nook and corner of the country with an aim to promote safe biking and most importantly use of helmets. The youth of our country form an integral part of the biking community and play a crucial role in spreading the awareness on abiding the safety norms.
