Ford Introduces three EcoSport-based concepts at Sao Paulo

It is pretty evident that the EcoSport has given a much needed boost to Ford’s India sales. The urban compact SUV was also a key player for the manufacturer helping to increase their sales globally. Ford has introduced three cool concepts of this successful model at the ongoing 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show. The design exercises of Ford’s South American design department have been christened as the Storm, Beauty, and Beast concepts. Whether these concepts will make to production is yet to be decided. However the message behind the concepts, is to exhibit the versatility and customization possibilities of the EcoSport, according to Ford.

The Storm version (above) grabs attention as the design closely resembles the F-150 Raptor pickup. The front grill is reminiscent of the F-150 SVT Raptor, conveying masculinity and ruggedness. The combination of the base colour in ‘Blue Storm’, is complemented by black and silver detailsm, and is supplemented by special graphics on the sides. Adding an off-roader feel are the chunky tyres measuring 215/75 R15 , along with side cladding, and the signature skid plates at the front.

EcoSport Beauty

The EcoSport Beauty concept is meant to make you into a four-year old craving for chocolate with its special paint in matte metallic copper ‘Copper Stardust’ that resembles a chocolate bars in pictures. The graphics and contrasting details, black roof, fog lights in LED enhances the urban appeal of the compact SUV. This concept runs on 18-inch wheels that are wrapped in low profile 235/40 R18 tyres. The interior has been spruced up with four individual seats with an armrest upholstered in leather, DVD screens in the headrests, and a multimedia central with GPS.

EcoSport The Beast

The Beast version is likely to get more fans in India, if Ford brings it here, thanks to the pleasant white body colour, something we Indians are obsessed with. ‘Speed ​​White’ as Ford calls it, suits the concept well, especially with the the contrasting blue and orange shade. Externally, the Beast comes with a three bar grille, fog lamps with four LEDs, and 18-inch wheels shod with 235/60 R18 tyres. The sportiness is enhanced with the massive air-intake on the hood, as well as additional lighting LEDs in the ceiling. The interior boasts of GPS and bike racks in place of the rear seats.
