Giant bicycle maker expands into Bangalore

Giant, one of the most renowned bicycle makers in the world, has expanded its presence in the country with the launch of its second experience centre, the Giant Starkenn Cycling World, in the upscale neighbourhood of Indiranagar, Bangalore. The inauguration of the new centre also saw the unveiling of Giant’s Propel Advanced SL 0, the fastest bicycle in the world. This bike is used by the Giant Shimano team participating in the Tour de France including champion biker Marcel Kittel.

Starkenn Sports Pvt. Ltd. is the sole distributer and authorised marketers of the Giant brand. The experience centre, claimed to be the largest in the city, is spread across 3200 sq.ft. and offers a number of firsts — a bike simulator, a bike spa, bike fit, bike library, bike café and a range of bicycles from Giant’s line-up. The range includes bikes that cost between Rs 18,500 to Rs 10.59 lakh.

Commenting on the occasion, Pravin V.
