GM launches 2014 Chevrolet Sail & Sail U-VA

The refreshed-for-2014 Chevrolet Sail and Sail U-VA have been launched with prices starting at Rs 4.41 lakh, and going up to Rs 6.81 lakh for the Sail U-VA. The Sail sedan has prices starting at Rs 5.19 lakh, with the top-spec version priced at Rs 7.64 lakh, all prices ex-showroom New Delhi.

Exterior changes include revised front headlamps which have now been stretched back. The fog lamps get a chrome accentuated bezel. The rear gets a chrome strip on the boot lid for added flair.

Interior changes include a dual-tone black and beige dashboard, a new steering wheel and a double-DIN infotainment system. Chrome influence can be seen on the inside as well with with the AC vents and HVAC dials being garnished with it. The door handle surrounds and gear lever knob meanwhile, makes do with a silver finished trim. The seats get optional faux-leather covers.

The engines remain unchanged. Engine options include a 1.3-litre diesel unit with a power output of 74bhp at 4000rpm and 190Nm of torque at 1750rpm with a claimed fuel efficiency of 22.1kmpl. The 1.2-litre petrol engine, on the other hand, produces 82bhp at 6000rpm and 108.5Nm of torque at 5000rpm. Fuel efficiency is claimed to be 18.2kmpl. Safety features include dual airbags, with ABS and EBD for higher variants.
