Hero Electric launches Photon electric two-wheeler

Hero Electric has launched its first electric two-wheeler, the Photon, in India priced at Rs 54,110 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Hero Electric Photon is powered by a 48V, 1500W battery that can deliver a range of between 50km and 80km depending on the mode, Power or Economy. As the top speed is 45kmph, the Photon would be out of place on anything other than congested urban areas. While its electric motor will deliver torque right from the get-go, making it an excellent city commuter, the lack of anything resembling a top-end will confine this electric two wheeler to city streets.

The electric two-wheeler will be available at any of India’s five metros and Hero Electric dealers will facilitate vehicle financing for 8 months. Other offers by the Hero include an easy Battery EMI scheme within 24 months of purchase through the ‘Super Saver Battery Scheme’.
