The Activa has quite obviously brought in the money for Honda and the automatic scooter has now been crowned ‘India’s No. 1 selling two-wheeler’. On the back of significant growth in sales of 65 per cent, from 1,08,815 units sold in FY2012–2013 to 1,79,956 units in FY2013–2014 (March), the Activa has its closest rival outmatched by a margin of nearly 13,000 units. The Honda Activa previously managed to accomplish this feat in September 2013 making it the second time that it has done so during this financial year.

Speaking on this occasion, Yadvinder S. Guleria- Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said, “This clearly indicates that Activa is exponentially getting acceptance as the most preferred choice of two-wheeler for commuting in the country. We are proud to share that Activa is now strongly making inroads in Tier-2 towns and beyond.”
