JK Tyre displays new tyres at IRE 2015

Known for making tyres for everything from commercial to motorsport uses, Indian tyre manufacturer JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, showcased a number new tyres covering passenger cars, truck, LCV, and Farm segments at the 8th Indian Rubber Expo and Tyre show in Delhi.

The flagship in JK Tyres’ product range, is the high performance ‘Ultra Hi’ concept tyre. Available as low ratio 17-inchers, the tyres get silica technology and a multi-layer tread compound with colours matching the car aesthetics. The tyre, developed at JK Tyre’s Tech Centre in India, is meant to deliver low fuel consumption, great high-end traction, and better handling for high performance vehicles. The Ultra Hi concept tyres will be available in the market later this year as it is currently being tested at various global testing grounds.

In addition, the Indian tyre maker had its UX1 — Ultra High Performance range on display, which have been designed to be used on high-end luxury cars coming from Audi, BMW, and Mercedes’ offerings. The brand also showcased its High Performance Asymmetric Tyre range which have been designed to be used on passenger cars like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, VW Vento, and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz. The manufacturer’s SUV segment offering were the new All-Terrain tyres, while the Farm segment product was the Steel belted Farm Radials.

Underlining its international strategy, JK Tyre is building products for its key export markets, namely, the U.S. and Latin America. Some of the tyres that were showcased at the expo were the Ultima-XPC1, America Selecta Plus and Turbo.
