Kanyakumari to Kashmir on a Triumph Tiger

Ever thought of taking a long vacation and ride your dream machine beyond the horizon? Admit it, if you are biker and love long rides, a ride from Kanyakumari to Kashmir should have flashed in your mind at some point. British motorcycle manufacturer, Triumph sent a lone rider in their Tiger 800 XC tourer, designed for the long haul, for this epic ride. A ride like this isn’t just passing of miles, but an experience to cherish for a lifetime. Triumph took this into account and the rider took three months to complete the ride, all the while gaining a deeper understanding of India, spanning over 4000 kilometres. The journey was divided into 5 legs, from Kanyakumari to Ooty, Ooty to Pune, Pune to Dasada, Dasada to Delhi, and finally, form Delhi to Srinagar via Leh.
The Triumph Tiger 800 XC is a dual-purpose motorcycle with a three-cylinder engine that develops 94bhp and 79Nm. The vehicle has a rugged chassis, which comes in handy while riding on all sorts of terrains, along with a tall stance. A beak-like front mudguard, dual-headlights, and a small wind screen, all make the Tiger 800 XC an ideal touring two-wheeler for cross country rides.

Comments from Vimal Sumbly further explain that Triumph have plans to conduct similar long rides for motorcycle enthusiasts. The rides will be an attempt to communicate to the people that Triumph has motorcycles with serious touring capabilities. Triumph India commenced its operations in November 2013 and has set up eight showrooms across the country.
