Replacing the Freelander in Land Rover’s 2015 line-up is the Discovery Sport which will debut in September 3, 2014. An SUV with a Freelander badge has been a part of Land Rover’s stable for over 8 years and the time to retire it has arrived.

Spy shots and peviews of the Discovery Sport clearly show that it has been inspired by the Discovery Vision Concept displayed at New York International Auto Show. The video however, shows the 5+2 seating arrangement though the dashboard has been blurred, guess they really want to keep us guessing. In addition the video also displays the leather covered interiors and glimpses of the flexible seating in action, and the full panoramic roof in action.

The 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport will be powered by JLR’s new Ingenium engine line-up though the British marque hasn’t revealed any details about the driving aids like the ‘see-through’ bonnet and futuristic technology that was showcased with the Discovey Vision Concept.
