Limited-edition Mahindra ‘XUV500 Sportz’

Mahindra has come up with a limited edition of its flagship SUV, the XUV500, which now comes with added features and stylized exteriors in a bid to reflect its successful motorsport campaign.

Slotting above their top-of-the-line W8 model, the Sportz edition can be differentiated thanks to Sportz decals and 5-spoke alloy wheels with red inserts. The ‘Sportz’ theme carries over through red accents in the fog lamps and door handles while the roof rails are painted red as well. In case you miss all this, there is the Sportz badging at the rear to remind you.

Inside, the XUV500 Sportz comes with leather and fabric interiors and a rear-view camera which adds to an already exhaustive list of features such as Sonar reverse parking assist, a 6-inch touch screen infotainment system, voice command, vehicle information system, start-stop system, climate control, projector head lamps with LED DRL’s, rain and light sensors and tyre pressure monitor found on its W8 model too. Safety features like six airbags, ESP, EBD, Hill Hold and Hill Decent Control too are carried over from the W8.

The Sportz comes with the tried and trusted 2.2-litre mHawk engine producing 140bhp and 330Nm of torque mated to a six-speed transmission.
