Mahindra launches Rodeo Uzo 125
Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. launched a sporty version of its 125cc Rodeo, christened the Rodeo Uzo 125, priced at Rs 47,957 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The scooter has been given purely cosmetic upgrades and boasts racing stripes, arguably the first time on a scooter in India, and coloured wheels. Mahindra claims the two tone dual texture seat is designed to minimize slippage when accelerating and under sharp braking.
The new scooter is powered by the same engine as the Rodeo RZ. The 124.6cc, four-stroke motor develops 8bhp and 9Nm of torque. The scooter has a new ignition system developed for better performance, the DCDI — Dual Curve Digital Ignition system which helps deliver an ARAI tested mileage of 59kmpl. The Rodeo Uzo 125 features heavy duty telescopic suspension up front. The suspension along with the 154mm ground clearance enables the scooter to be a contender in dirt rallies like those seen at the recently concluded 6th Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare 2014.
The Rodeo Uzo 125 features the same tidbits which come with the Rodeo RZ such as a fully digital dashboard with six-colour backlights, front fuel filler, mobile charging point, under seat storage of 22-litres, 4-in-1 anti-theft key, and a side stand safety buzzer. Apart from the black colour with red stripes combo, blue, violet and black shades with white stripes are also available.
