Mahindra Two Wheelers is looking to expand quite aggressively this year by introducing four new products in the Indian market and ramp up exports to so as to enter four new international markets. Sources have confirmed that the new two-wheelers will include a scooter, an entry-level motorcycle and more variants of existing models.

Mahindra’s 300cc Mojo is expected to launch this year and Viren Popli, Mahindra Two Wheelers Chief of Operations, has confirmed that a scooter and a motorbike in the 100–110cc segment will launch before the end of the year.

The Indian manufacturer is also looking to increase the number of Mahindra outlets in the country as the company’s network increased from 600 to 1500 in the span of a year. It seems like this has impacted domestic sales figures as they have increased by 83 per cent, from 14,389 units in June 2014 as against 7849 units in June last year. Popli had also mentioned that Mahindra Two Wheelers’ current flagship, the Centuro, has been selling well, adding to sales numbers.

When asked about reports of the company discontinuing the entry-level Pantero, Popli said, “We don’t have any such plans. The Pantero continues to be in the market and we will also continue to export Arrow, which is based on the Pantero platform.”

Exports to international markets will also be ramped up as Mahindra says that they are looking to enter Columbia, Nigeria and two more countries in either Africa or Latin America. In the next six months, the bike maker has planned to export to a total of 15 countries around the world.
