In a bid to keep their premium SUV from sliding further on the sales charts, Chevrolet has launched a for 2015 version of the Captiva with additional equipment. Priced at Rs 25.13 lakh and Rs 27.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the manual and the automatic respectively, the MY 15 Chevrolet Captiva 2.2 faces off against the likes of the SsangYong Rexton, Toyota Fortuner, Renault Koleos, and Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara.

The for 2015 Captiva now gets a new Cluster Ionizer fitted with the air-con unit to keep the cabin clean and sweet smelling, and a new instrument cluster for a claimed improvment in visibility. A slight increase, about Rs 20,000 worth of an increase in price accounts for the new equipment.

Chevrolet’s premium SUV remains the same externally and internally and sports the same 2.2-litre inline-four diesel mill producing 187bhp at 3800rpm and 400Nm at 2000rpm mated to a six-speed manual, with an optional six-speed automatic transmission. Both versions come with a full-time AWD system.
