Only a month ago, TOD had reported that Polaris had bought out electric bike maker, Brammo Inc., and it seems like they may already be working on something new together. Whether this project dates back to the first time Polaris invested a significant sum in the Oregon-based electric drive tech expert in 2011, or a completely new project, they’ve made the push rather fast. Victory Motorcycles, a sub-brand under the Polaris umbrella, may come out with an electric bike, suspiciously in-sync with rival, Harley-Davidson, and their development of the LiveWire (which will be on the big screen in Avengers 2, out in May).

A trademark filed with the US patents office by Polaris Industries, shows the name ‘Victory Charger’ and written below, is ‘Electric motorcycles and structural parts therefor’. This would mean that an electric Victory could join the rather large line-up soon. Polaris hasn’t had the time to develop their own electric technology, and this is where Brammo comes in. Using the electric bike manufacturer’s electric drivetrain technology, Victory may well field a LiveWire competitor.

There hasn’t been a peep out of any of the companies about any plans as yet, so the electric bike may be an all-new model, or a re-engineered bike based on one of Victory’s current crop.
