Porsche launches new Cayenne at Rs 1.02Cr

Though the visual changes are subtle, the 2015 Cayenne now looks more aggressive and sharp. The grille is larger now and the front bumper has been redesigned with more slats in the air ducts, to improve cooling. The new Cayenne boasts of bi-xenon headlights which also have four-point LED daytime running lights. The tail lamps are more angular, and the tailgate, as well as the bumper, get subtle tweaks. The new bumper also incorporates a set of newly designed exhaust pipes.

The interiors now come with a new multi-function sport steering wheel with shift paddles as standard. The second row of seats get ventilation as an option. The new Cayenne also boasts of standard features like air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management, Porsche Entry and Drive, a four-zone auto climate control system, and a panorama sunroof. Additionally, soft-close doors, surround camera, and the Sport Chrono package, now incorporating the Performance Start function, are also on offer as extras.

2015 Porsche Cayenne

The basic Cayenne diesel is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that develops 241bhp and 550Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0–100kmph in 7.6 seconds (7.5 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package), and has a top speed of 218kmph. The Cayenne S Diesel, priced at Rs 1.19 crore, is powered by a 4.2-litre motor belting out 380bhp and 850Nm of torque. From a standstill, it reaches 100kmph in only 5.4 seconds (5.3 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package) and has a top speed of 252kmph.

2015 Porsche Cayenne

The all-new 3.6-litre V6 bi-turbo petrol engine of the Cayenne S has been tuned to deliver 414bhp and 550Nm of torque, and is mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. The Cayenne S accelerates from 0–100 kmph in 5.5 seconds (5.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package) — 0.4 seconds faster than the previous Cayenne S. The vehicle can hit a maximum speed of 259kmph and has been priced Rs 1.16 crore. The range topping Cayenne Turbo is powered by a 4.8-litre bi-turbo V8 engine that produces 512bhp and 750Nm of torque. The Cayenne Turbo does the 0–100kmph sprint in 4.5 seconds (4.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package) and has a top whack of 279kmph.
