Renault Duster clocks 1 lakh sales, special edition launched

The Duster really changed the fortunes of French manufacturer Renault in India. The launch of the compact SUV was well-received in India as it had been globally as the Dacia Duster. It looked properly rugged and it came at a good price. More recently, Renault launched the Adventure Edition (it misses out on a 4x4 drivetrain, though it is said to be in the pipeline) of its best-selling SUV.

Renault achieved this milestone in less than two years and contributes significantly to the one million Dusters sold worldwide since 2010. Marking the occasion, Sumit Sawhney, Country CEO & M.D. Renault India said “Renault Duster has carved a niche for itself by creating a new segment and is the reference model within the segment. We at Renault are proud to reach this milestone of having crossed one lakh Duster sales and are happy that India is contributing significantly in the overall sales of Duster globally. To commemorate the occasion, Renault will launch a special ‘Duster 1 Lakh Limited Edition’ this month, priced at Rs 9.99 lakh.
