Triumph has been quick to spread its reach to their prospective customers in India by opening dealerships in quick succession. It was Bangalore which received Triumph’s first dealership followed by Hyderabad in January and earlier this month, the third was opened in Kochi. The fourth one opened in Pune today under the name B.U. Bhandari Triumph. We had reported the opening of this showroom earlier and you can read about it here.

The Pune dealership has a showroom integrated with an after-sales service facility complete with service bays and spare parts inventory. The layout is in-line with Triumph Motorcycles’ signature theme which includes a consultation lounge along with sales and after-sales in the display area. All 11 Triumph models including the iconic Bonneville to the track-bred Daytona 675R will be sold through the dealership. ‘Build your own Bike’ is another concept that will be featured in the showroom, allowing one to customize their Triumph motorcycle with an array of accessories on sale. Triumph merchandise including riding gear, memorabilia et all would also be available at the dealership and will conform to international standards.

What is more important is the fact that Triumph have roped in 335 bookings across 5 model categories since November. These are significant numbers considering an equally iconic brand like Harley-Davidson, who have been in India for the past three years, manage 1000 motorcycles per year. Triumph aims to surpass 1000 bookings by the end of this year, a testament to the brand’s popularity.

Mr. Shoeb Farooq, National Head of Sales and Dealer Development, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd said, “We are enthused with the unbelievable initial response from Triumph aficionados. The experiential consumer rides offered at Triumph dealerships in Hyderabad and Bangalore has yielded excellent results and there has been a substantial jump of nearly 40 per cent new enquiries in Bangalore and Hyderabad and we expect to see the same trend in Pune as well.”

Triumph also intends to start sales with six functional dealerships across key cities within the next one month further increasing their footprint in the Indian market.
