We already know that five new Bonneville models are are to be added to Triumph’s bike range. Starting mid-Jan 2016, the British manufacturer has started taking the bookings for the new Bonneville range in India and will be showcasing these models in the Auto Expo from 5th to 9th February.

2016 Triumph Street Twin

The Street Twin — the entry-level model — will get a new 900cc engine delivering 55hp and 80 Nm of torque. Power is down from the outgoing model, but the headline characteristic is the meaty torque, available from way down low. Reports suggest that this makes for a very engaging motorcycle. The Street Twin also gets the liquid-cooling and Triumph claims that it is 36% more fuel efficient than previous Bonneville models.

The upgraded T120 and T120 Black will run on 1200cc engines generating 105Nm. These variants also get dry/wet riding modes and traction control. Both have six-speed transmissions, up from the previous 5-speed gearbox.

2016 Triumph Thruxton & Thruxton R

The range-topping Thruxton and Thruxton R are powered by the same 1200cc engine but with even more torque — 112Nm. The R version will get higher specs than the normal Thruxton, as Triumph have often done with their other motorcycles.
