Volvo Auto India is expanding its presence in India by announcing the opening of four showrooms in Delhi, Surat, Chandigarh and Kolkata. These showrooms are designed with a Scandinavian theme and what Volvo expresses as a ‘Cool on the outside’ and ‘Warm on the inside’ feel.

The West Delhi dealership is named Viking Motors and is owned by an existing dealership, Swede Auto in Delhi while the one in Surat, named Autobots, is also owned by a dealership of the same name in Ahmedabad. Krishna Auto Sales is the name of the Chandigarh dealership who also own dealerships of Honda 2 Wheelers, BMW, Skoda, Tata and JCB among others. OSL Scandinavian is the Kolkata dealership which is part of Orissa Stevedores Limited (OSL) group and will cover a vast customer base in the east.

These showrooms will have all of Volvo’s India lineup including the recently facelifted S80, V40 Cross country and S60 along with the XC60 and XC90 SUVs .

Tomas Ernberg, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India said, “Taking our philosophy of ‘Designed Around You’ a step further, we are happy to bring the all-new Volvo Retail Experience at 4 new locations. With the new dealers, VAI is confident of expanding its market share and creating more patrons for its brand. We will continue to grow as we start sales with 15 functional dealerships across key cities, generating a strong brand eminence”.
