Royal Enfield has added a new colour scheme for its Continental GT cafe racer, and has priced this model at Rs 2,13,142 on-road Delhi. The 535cc cafe racer will continue to be available in yellow, and the traditional red finish, and none of them are priced above the other. While the black-colour will be an option on the Continental GT around the world, India is the first to get it, with bookings already open.

The Royal Enfield Continental GT was originally launched in 2013 and re-introduced the country to the cafe racer culture. The new colour is meant to further confirm the bikes’ culture, specifically the rocker sub-culture of the swinging 60’s. As such it does look quite like an authentic throwback to the 1960s, particularly due to the stretched out low-profile black fuel tank with knee recesses, low set handlebars, rear set footpegs, genuine clip-on bars and the black bump stop along with chrome upswept exhaust.

We had reviewed the Continental GT last year in December and found it to be a more than adequate expression of the cafe racer culture.
