Japanese manufacturer, Yamaha is doing its level best to keep its products fresh and boost flagging sales of the FZ, FZ-S and FAZER by introducing new colour schemes. This month, customers will be able to get a FAZER in Terrain White, Wilderness Black or Ravine Red for Rs 77,351 (ex-showroom Delhi), an FZ painted in Panther Black, Raider Red or Ambush Blue for Rs 70,411, and an FZ-S finished in Pouncing Black, Preying Red or Hawk Eye Gold costing Rs 72,385.

All three motorcycles share the same 153cc air cooled-single cylinder four stroke engine developing 14bhp at 7500rpm and 13.6Nm of torque at 6000rpm, mated to a five-speed transmission. The three street bikes have been on Indian roads for a while now with the FZ leading the way. The FZ was one of the first motorcycles in the country to come with a factory-fitted wide rear and front tyres and styling which drew inspiration from the 1000cc FAZER range. The FZ-S was introduced later with a mini-cowl for the headlamp and two-tone colour schemes. The final edition to the family was the FAZER which got a half-fairing and a slightly revised riding position courtesy of higher-placed handlebars. Yamaha intended the FAZER as a tourer while the others were meant as street bikes.
