A lot of us dream of going sideways, whether its pulling handbrake turns when we know no one else is one the road, or secretly looking forward to the rains, every petrolhead wants to experience those much coveted lateral G-forces.

This video shows German drifiter Harald Müller showing off some serious sideways skills in the extremely driftable and slightly modded Toyota GT86. Müller let his rear hang out continuously for 2 hours and 25 minutes covering a distance of 142.28km on a small 0.224km track in Turkey, earning him entrance into the Guinness Book of World Records. The German drifter took advantage of the wet conditions which make it easier to throw the tail out and help keep the tyre from overheating and shredding.

The previous record holder was BMW Performance Centre instructor, Johan Schwartz, who drifted a BMW M5 for 82.08km on a wet track just last year. Besides using special Continental ContiSport tyres, the M5 was completely stock.
