3 Tips To Excel As An Entrepreneur

Do you have an aspiring dream to become successful as an entrepreneur?

Thousands of people decide this very thing every day. The romantic idea behind working from home is tantalizing to all sorts, but it’s what they do which determines whether or not they will actually make it in this industry.

I spoke with Vitaly Kibenko, entrepreneur and founder of Own The Light. Vitaly, a professional photographer who stepped into success with his business, has some interesting perspectives on his personal entrepreneurial journey. His experience can help you as you make the journey from nine to five job, to a home based career you can be proud of.

Don’t get me wrong, there will be lots of trials and mistakes ahead. However, if you’re willing to work hard and learn from every corner, you will understand these three tips should always be your foundational principles you launch your business from every morning when you wake up and start your day.

#1 — Own What You Do

Love everything about it. Make it your top priority

You’ve got to love what you’re doing if you’re going to be motivated and successful at it. This is the first step to success in any entrepreneur’s life. Are you thinking about stepping out into these waters? Maybe you’re already there and trying to understand which route to take.

First step is to make sure you love what you’re doing. Find something you’re passionate about and then you will make it a priority. There is no such thing as procrastination. The only idea behind procrastination is because you haven’t made something a priority in your business.

Once you find that passion, own it. When you get to this point, it becomes fairly easy for you to keep the motivation to press forward because, as you already know, when you love something, you make it yours. It shows in your business. Owning what you do, becoming the expert, makes your brand stand out and is attractive to others.

#2 — Keep Your Promises

You are an extension of your brand. Vitaly explains why you shouldn’t overstep your boundaries when you begin to promise things to your audience. If you over promise and can’t deliver you will start to see the repercussions from it later.

Your audience wants to trust your brand. You have something they know, like, and trust. But don’t over hype anything. If you’re selling a product or service, tell it like it is. If it’s not going to make them walk on water, don’t sell it that way.

There are a couple of ways you can keep watch over this, and if you’re careful to never over promise, you should also be careful about the basics of what you promise as well. Little things like a book launch date. If you promised to launch in August, make sure you deliver the book to them in August.

Keeping your promises is the foundational beginnings of entrepreneurship Vitaly explains, which is how it can separate your business from the rest of the pack in the know, like, and trust category of your personal niche.

#3 — Don’t Let Failure Stop You

Every entrepreneur you talk to has failed. The most impressive one I’ve ever heard about was from the story of Abraham Lincoln. At every turn it seemed like failure was part of his daily routine, yet he stepped into one of the most powerful offices this country has to offer.

I always like to say failure is not a stopping point, but a launching pad. Mentally, you have to examine your failure and build a relationship with it to determine how you can make it better, or disregard the idea at hand altogether.

Vitaly simply points out you have to keep a positive attitude. No one is perfect and you should expect failure to come knocking on your door at some point in your entrepreneurial journey. Now that you’re expecting it, it won’t surprise you as much when it arrives. But positive thinking and out of the box thinking will allow you to use failure to your advantage to create something in your business which will impact your audience on a scale your failure never would.

Over To You

Everyone wants to work from home. Everyone has a dream to become a successful entrepreneur. However, not everyone gets to experience the full excitement of becoming a successful business person.

If you’re one of these people, these three tips from Vitaly Kibenko will guide you on the road to success. While they sound simple and easy to forget because you may think you have bigger fish to fry, you should always remember these great tips.
