“You’re not alone. Being in Special Education I felt sort of like the cops; people only wanted to see you if there was a problem. Typically General Education teachers wanted the Special Educator to swoop in and save the day when an extreme behavior happened with a student. However, it could be challenging to have one of your Special Needs students accepted in the mainstream classrooms. Making connections with General Education will help you work more as a team. Special Education can be very isolating so make sure you reach out if you need help!”

I had the pleasure of interviewing Ronette Parker, Ronette Parker is the founder of Mindful ABA. She worked in the Special Education field for 22 years before starting her company . Ronette is a mom and advocate to an amazing 9 year old with T1Diabetes who is helping her write a book for other children with T1D.

Thank you so much for doing this with us
