AGING LIKE A PRO!
Find Your Fountain of Youth!
Listen — we all want to live forever right?
That is why we watch what we eat.. guilt ourselves after eating bad.. and constantly think about getting to the gym and training.. (wink wink.. just kidding)..
But.. the reality is this.. We do not want get old!
The statement that is probably more accurate is:
We all know we are getting older.. but we do not want to feel it.. or let it get in the way of what we do..
If we become a year older, but avoid the wrinkles and walkers.. we are happy!
If we become a year older, but can do what we were doing the year before.. we are happy!

So the conversation today is about Aging Like A Pro!
We want to click the years, without losing our health and our mind..
So what do we do?
I will break it down into a few steps!
1. Exercise/ Move Everyday.. The more you sit, the more you “lay down”.. the more your body will shut down and prefer those positions.. Get Up and Move!
2. Eat Clean (Monday to Friday).. Nobody likes to be told what to do.. we don’t even like to tell ourselves what we “can’t do”.. So when it comes to eating, EAT CLEAN..(click to learn how) Monday to Friday.. and you can social eat on the weekend! After all.. socialization is very important to aging well!
3. Schedule FUN at Least 2x/ Week.. Routines are great until they are not! As a human, we crave routine and structure.. the only problem is, sometimes the routines and habits we create for ourselves are the same ones that are driving us into depression and negative habits.. So.. knowing that, we must schedule some “outside the box” things.. trips, vacations, dining in new restaurants, meeting new people, concerts, shows, galleries, conferences.. get out there and try something new!
4. Try Something New! If you allow your mind to become dormant, you will become dormant. We all want to do our best to avoid dementia and a reversing mind, so the way to do that is to challenge yourself mentally by trying new things.. reading consistently, and self educating yourself from NOW till THE END! New experiences, new perspectives, and anything NEW will excite your mind.. and keep you mentally strong!
5.STRETCH EVERYDAY!.. We will end with stretching.. even though this is how I prefer everybody to start their day! Why? Well.. we don’t want to look OLD.. the forward lean, the slow get up from the floor, the rocking lift off the couch or chair, shortened gait, and an overall slower pace.. If you are tight, you will become this creature… Mr. or Mrs. Old Man/ Woman.. We can’t have it… so with that, you must commit to stretching each day.. Lengthen your body and you may avoid losing some height as well!
So you may see it takes some WORK to not get old…
I see a lot of physical laziness in this country.. maybe that is the real reason we are getting physically older.. we DO LESS yet we EXPECT MORE..
Now let’s go.. start training yourself like a PRO…
In life.. YOU GET WHAT YOU TOLERATE.. DO NOT TOLERATE IT!
