Are You Letting Life Push You Into Submission?
You’re asked to do something, you don’t really want to do it, you’re already busy enough but you find yourself saying yes anyway whilst wondering how you can get out of this cycle.
You’re in a relationship that’s nice, comfortable, convenient.
You’ve become convenient to someone, who is it? Your lover, your boss, your best friend?
Here’s why refusing to be convenient it’s so important — convenience is only short step away from complacency and you’ve got so much more going for you than that.
So. Much. More.
With decisions, whether personal or professional, ask yourself this; does it make me feel contracted or expanded?
You know when a decision you’ve made makes you feel expanded, don’t override your intuition with what if’s and but’s, does it make you feel expanded? Great, do it.
If doing something makes you feel contracted, say no and before you jump aboard the ‘but what if train’ just remind yourself that your number one responsibility is to be aware of the value of your emotions at all times because your thoughts, words and actions are painting the world around you.
REFUSE TO BE CONVENIENT ACTION STEP 1
Don’t let life push you into submission, you do have the freedom to control the momentum of things — expand your vision for yourself but don’t choose to go it alone and struggle to do it all by yourself, willpower alone isn’t enough, you need strategy, a game plan and support.
REFUSE TO BE CONVENIENT ACTION STEP 2
Step out of the chaos to get some perspective; relationships that do not support your full potential are a distraction, activities that pulls you away from your true strengths are a distraction.
REFUSE TO BE CONVENIENT ACTION STEP 3
Seek truth beyond tradition, live by your own definition and don’t compromise that.
