“As a CEO of a startup, fundraising is part of your job. It’s so important to think ahead, develop strategic relationships and attend networking and thought leadership events. You underestimate how much time fundraising can take, but ultimately, it’s up to you to keep your company afloat.”

I had the pleasure of interviewing Mary Ellen Beliveau. She is the CEO and founder of Knowledge to Practice (K2P), a leading provider of personalized, competency-based lifelong learning for practicing physicians. She has more than 15 years of experience innovating postgraduate medical education curriculum and is a passionate advocate for enabling physicians to practice at the top of their license. She is a board member of Johns Hopkins’ Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. and a member of Mindshare, an invitation-only network of chief executive officers (CEOs) from the most promising emerging and high growth technology companies in the Washington, D.C. region.

What is your “backstory”?
