CONFIDENCE IS KING
THERE ARE 4-TYPES OF CONFIDENCE.. WHICH DO YOU HAVE?
What can you do without it?
Nothing. Confidence is KING.
For years I have listened to motivational speakers give their two cents on figuring out your life, finding your way, increasing your personal power and/or becoming the better version of yourself.
But, a word you very rarely hear them discuss is CONFIDENCE.
Confidence has lived in the sports world forever. My job is to bring it back to our daily conversation.
The reality is confidence is the differentiator between winning and losing. Confidence is the difference between getting the deal done or going home empty handed.
Confidence is what gets you what you want in life.
My mother calls it MOXIE. I call it confidence.
If you want to do anything worth while in your life, you must have confidence. Confidence leads to conviction. Conviction leads to massive execution and results on a persons vision.
Without confidence you have nothing.
Now there are a few different types of confidence:
1. FAKE Confidence- Puffing your chest, telling yourself and others how great you are without really believing it.
2. Situational Confidence- Amping yourself up to “Seem” confident during a certain situation ex. asking somebody on a date
3. Temporary Confidence- The way you feel after watching a motivational video, reading a motivational story or movie.
4.Real Deal Confidence- Knowing who you are, what you want, that you can’t please everybody and you love yourself no matter what happens.
RDC- Real Deal Confidence is what we need if we want to be a winner. Typically those with real deal confidence are calm, more subdued, relaxed and comfortable no matter what the situation. They control the themselves no matter what the situation. Therefore, they control the situation.
RDC is what everybody should aim for. Life is even keeled with RDC. There are minimal ups and downs because you are in full control of you emotional state. You have high levels of self -worth, self-belief and an unwavering, uncanny focus on what you are looking to achieve.
Those with RDC are rarely swayed by others, trends, economic state or other external factors.
It is easy to see somebody that is not true to themselves. They are more focused on looking good for others than being committed to what they believe in. Those with RDC are convicted and live life under their terms.
Living with RDC means you are going to upset some people because you are a non-conformist. You don’t adjust or adapt to the thought process or mindset of the room if it does not align with your beliefs. Your beliefs drive you and you never break character to please others. Love me or hate me is your attitude.
Your top athletes all have RDC. How else could you perform while being judged by 40,000 people per night?
TIP: The only way to achieve RDC is to understand yourself. Write down all the areas in life you have been hiding. Not putting your true self out there. Start there. Always tell the truth no matter who is in the crowd. Live your story. Live your life with RDC. #promindset
