Exercise More To Prevent Brain Decline As You Age

A new study suggests the benefits of exercise on the brain for older adults.

According to a new study published in the journal Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, moderate to vigorous exercise can stave off cognitive decline in older adults.

Researchers studied 6,400 adults over 65 years of age, and tracked their activity as well as brain function through a series of tasks.

After three years, researchers found that adults who exercised regularly had better memory and executive function and a 36% lower risk of cognitive impairment than those who did little to no exercise.
