“It IS possible to be a #MOMBOSS, but it does not come without sacrifice — It is ok to not have it all figured out. Who cares if your kid’s lunch doesn’t look Pinterest-worthy. Take 30 seconds to write a love note and that’s all your kids will focus on.”

I had the pleasure of interviewing Marnie Nathanson, Founder & Chief Creative Officer at The Social Status Co.

Thank you so much for doing this with us! What is your “backstory”?

I’ve always been creative. My background is in Television Development & Production, which is what I studied in college (Newhouse, Syracuse — GO CUSE!) My focus was originally Children’s Television, but I gravitated towards Comedy Development and loved the process of brainstorming and researching new talent and watching ideas go from pen to screen. The corporate routine was hard to balance once I became a mom, so I pivoted my skills into social media management and content creation. I was excited to create bitesize storytelling that packed a big punch and decided to start my own agency.
